Privacy Policy
This page explains what data TM Pirates collects when you browse, register, or buy OTT subscriptions, gift cards, game top-ups, or education packs on tmpirates.com — and what your rights and choices are over that data.
We collect what checkout needs
Account details, order history, and payment metadata — never your full card number.
Used to deliver your order
Your data powers order verification, delivery, and support — not much else.
Shared only with processors
Payment providers and fraud checks see what they need — we don’t sell your data.
Cookies keep checkout working
Essential cookies for cart/login; optional analytics you can decline.
You have real rights
Access, correct, delete, or export your data — details in Section 9.
18+ platform
Same age rule as our Terms — this Service isn’t directed at children.
01 Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how TM Pirates (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit tmpirates.com, create an account, or place an order for OTT subscriptions, gift cards, game top-ups, or education packs (the “Service”). It applies alongside our Terms of Service, which govern the purchase itself, and our Refund and Returns Policy, which governs order cancellations.
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
02 Information We Collect
We collect only what’s needed to run your account, process orders, and keep the Service secure:
Account data
Name, email, and password hash used to register or sign in (see Section 3).
Order data
Products purchased, order status, and delivery destination (email or in-account).
Payment metadata
Payment method used, transaction status, and last 4 digits — never full card numbers (see Section 4).
Device & usage data
IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, collected via cookies (see Section 5).
Support communications
Messages and attachments you send to support when resolving an order issue.
Fraud & risk signals
Flags used to screen high-risk orders under our fraud policy.
Wallet balance
Store-credit balance and history if you use TM Pirates’ wallet system.
Aggregated analytics
De-identified statistics on traffic and sales trends used to run the site.
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the data above to:
- Create and secure your account, and let you sign in;
- Process payment, verify high-risk orders, and deliver the product you bought (see the order flow in our Delivery Policy);
- Respond to support requests and refund or replacement claims under our Refund and Returns Policy;
- Detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks, and abuse as described in our Terms;
- Send order confirmations and — only if you opt in — occasional product updates or promotions;
- Understand aggregate usage so we can keep the shop fast, secure, and stocked correctly.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
04 Payment Data & Third-Party Processors
Card and crypto payments are handled by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors and mobile banking providers — TM Pirates never sees or stores your full card number, card PIN, or wallet private keys. The payment rails currently supported (and thus the providers that may briefly process your payment data to complete a transaction) include:
Each processor has its own privacy policy governing the data it collects to authorize your payment; we encourage you to review the one relevant to the method you choose. Our full list of accepted methods is also listed in our Terms of Service, Section 6.
05 Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run checkout and understand how the shop is used:
| Category | Purpose | Can you decline? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you logged in, remembers your cart, secures checkout | No — required for the Service to function |
| Preference | Remembers currency, region, and display settings | Yes, via cookie settings |
| Analytics | Aggregated traffic and conversion statistics | Yes, via cookie settings |
| Marketing | Measures the performance of ads and promotions, if any are running | Yes, via cookie settings |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working correctly.
06 Data Sharing & Disclosure
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service, following this general lifecycle:
The parties we may share data with are limited to:
- Payment processors — to authorize and settle your payment (see Section 4);
- Fraud-prevention tools — to screen high-risk orders under our Terms, Section 9;
- Support and infrastructure providers — such as hosting and helpdesk tools, bound by confidentiality obligations;
- Legal authorities — only where required by law, a court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.
07 Data Retention
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward to meet accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations — generally [insert retention period, e.g. 6 years] from your last order, unless a longer period is required by law. Support messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve your case and any related disputes.
You can request earlier deletion of your account data at any time — see Section 9 — though some order records may need to be retained where law requires it (for example, financial record-keeping rules).
08 Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and PCI-compliant payment processors — to protect your data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we also ask you to help by using a strong, unique password and reporting any suspicious account activity to support@tmpirates.com right away.
09 Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction
Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete account information.
Portability
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Objection
Object to certain uses of your data, such as marketing communications.
Withdraw consent
Opt out of optional cookies or marketing emails at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@tmpirates.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we’ll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10 Children’s Privacy
Consistent with our Terms of Service, Section 2, the Service is intended for users who are at least 18, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it.
11 International Data Transfers
Because we work with global payment processors and infrastructure providers, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect data transferred internationally.
12 Third-Party Platform Links
As explained in our Terms of Service, Section 10, TM Pirates is an independent reseller and not affiliated with the platforms whose codes and subscriptions we sell (Netflix, Steam, PlayStation, and others). Once you redeem a code on a third-party platform, that platform’s own privacy policy governs the data you provide there — we don’t control or receive that data.
13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our data practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change accordingly, and for material changes we’ll make reasonable efforts to give notice, such as a banner on the site — the same approach used for our Terms of Service updates.
